How to read the evidence¶
A useful directory makes uncertainty inspectable. We link each source near its claim and maintain one shared research record for all seven language editions.
Research and translation¶
We searched English and Simplified Chinese sources, prioritizing municipal and district authorities, official university pages and program operators. The Ministry of Education register supplies institutional scope. Sources are linked, not copied wholesale. Search discovery alone is weaker than a program’s own current notice.
A source-access date records our research session, not a promise of continuous monitoring. Some official sites block automated access or retain old pages. Current validity, open intake, available capacity and a responsive contact are separate facts. We do not label an opportunity open without a dated supporting notice.
Chinese organization names are retained for searching and contact. Descriptive English names may be editorial translations. The Chinese edition translates the editorial text, interface and research records; third-party source pages retain their original language. A linked Chinese policy controls over our English summary.
Contacts, workflows and map locations¶
Published telephone numbers are attributed to their sources, and general university switchboards are identified. Where a direct contact is unverified, we provide an official website or authority and suggest asking for the responsible team. We have not contacted organizations or submitted applications on readers’ behalf. Email addresses are not published.
Application workflows are labelled as editorial checklists unless a record cites a notice-specific procedure. Campus and district anchors locate an ecosystem, not a verified entrance. Even street-based plotted points are approximate. The district boundaries are an illustrative DataV dataset, with no claim to survey, legal-boundary or navigation accuracy.
Known gaps and responsible upkeep¶
Coverage is broad but not exhaustive. Many private incubators publish no current terms. Some district rules require a current annual notice that we could not establish as open. Several universities have no verified external startup program in this edition. Their institutional entry is included without inventing an accelerator or grant.
The registry includes 29 diploma colleges and 12 adult institutions without claiming program-level research for each. For university profiles, suggested thematic fit and office-routing questions are editorial guidance rather than a verified inventory of laboratories, contacts or available awards.
Before a new edition, recheck source dates, operator identity, policy expiry, intake deadlines, contacts, funding mechanism, eligibility, district boundaries and duplicate-funding rules. Preserve superseded claims with their historical status instead of silently reusing them. The source repository contains the data, translations, artwork provenance and reproducible Guidedog build commands.
